Sophia: 1 is Chang’s visual interpretation of the song, “Sophia” (Ross). Chang completed this as a parting memento between his friend and him. The white heart sits center in darkness. In the abyss, it takes roots and sprouts, bring light to wherever it reaches. Through Sophia: 1 , Chang hopes to channel the sorrow of separation towards love and hopefulness.
