Chang was inspired to create the Scene series to journal his micro interactions with the world that provoked deep reflections and emotions.

Sunflower (with Summer Beans, Epazote, and Savory) was inspired a casual conversation struck up when the dish was served at a dinner gathering. Chang reminisced on the endless cycle of forming and breaking relationships in his life. And he found no explanation. What keeps the Sun and the sunflower apart? What does it means to be apart?
