Chang was inspired to create the Scene series to journal his micro interactions with the world that provoked deep reflections and emotions.

Birthday Alone was inspired a friend’s personal experience they shared with Chang. Chang mused on the constant struggle between the pain of loneliness and the pain of love. What is a home to us and how do we see love and fear in our homes?
